The Universe and The Purpose of Your Existence

I got this quote from a movie.

I actually watched the movie on a plane which made it feel more magical… Like I was flying and ‘on top of the world’. Ha-ha.

And I needed it.

The movie was based on a 1962 Novel by Madeleine L'Engle.

I was at a point in my life where I wasn't really confident in the person I was and I believed that perfection was the fuel to get me moving. I hadn't realized that my imperfect self was enough. Enough to get me to do and be whoever I wanted to be in the Universe and to create change in that same space that I was in.

I had not realized that people had made decisions, which if they hadn't made, I wouldn’t have been in existence... or existed the way I exist now.

It may have been stupid decisions. Heck, decisions that may have even cost someone else’s life but the decision was made and hence, I am here. You and I, my friend.

If I feel my life is purposeless then what I’m saying is that their efforts were to no avail, because there is definitely a reason why I am here and why you, my friend, are here.

It took different series of events from people fighting for socio-economic justice to people saying ‘No,’ to racial prejudice, risking their lives for YOU and I to live.

And you, too can be the reason why someone else is in existence and/or continues to exist.

Want to throw that opportunity inside a dump?

You, my friend, are a fighter and you won’t give up because there were millions of people who didn’t give up on you… And people who still don’t.
