Welcome to my Blogging Space!
The One and Only - okay, not only - e-Journal of The Queen. I'm glad you came around 😊. How has your day been? Good, I hope.
Click here if you're having a not-so-fancy day.
I suck at first posts and online-introductions. You'll understand if you watched my First YouTube video.
Okay... Let's move. I'll keep this simple - hopefully.
My name is Amarachi Jacinth. Surname reserved by my King (Haha).
I'm joking. My Surname is Anya.
I am currently 19 Years of age. An odd age, I know.
Okay. Here's a random fact about me.
I first started blogging at the age of 16. I knew nothing pertaining to how to organize my blog - I still know nothing - but all I knew was that I wanted to post my feelings. It was therapeutic.
I knew nothing about monetization, all the mumbo-jumbo, or getting famous via blogging - all I knew was that I was blogging and writing my random thoughts. It was my safe and happy space. Well, Fiction Writing was, but having people relate to how I felt was awesome.
What made me to stop blogging?
I stopped blogging at the age of 17.
I remember starting a Google plus community for aspiring authors and being hella serious about it. I gained 12+ Google subscribers in just that night of voicing what I wanted. I had tons (5 seemed like a lot to me - don't judge) of people who were on the same page as I was and I was really excited that I was going to make a difference... or some Disney Princess - Take on the World something.
That brings us to other random facts about me: I love writing, I'm into Photography (Well, I just own a professional camera - Haha) and I love editing videos. I also love trying new things in this circle of skills, hence, My YouTube Channel and many other things I can't start listing out at the moment. And I strongly believe that I'm a Disney Princess. (Can't help a girl who likes to dream).
Okay...
Let's Get Down To Business
For the first time ever in that 2017, I shared my posts with my friends on a group chat - no one paid attention that much. There were issues like the need for Google accounts to view the posts which was quite strenuous on those who didn't have.
Then it dawned on me that I never looked at it that way before.
If it was so hard for people to view, who was willingly going to read my posts?
That same evening, one of my classmates sent me a message privately, saying she loved where I was coming from but... My Blog looked like a draft.
That killed it for me.
I actually really loved the pink template I had selected. I thought my blog was pretty okay!
I never compared my Blog with any person's own before but at that moment, I wanted better for my Blog. So, the comparison began.
I tried looking for how to customize it to look unique and less... drafty but most of the templates were locked and quite expensive for a child still eating off her father's plate.
How many people saw my Blog like it wasn't good enough? - and, worse! - weren't even bold enough to tell me?
I was being so psyched about something not worth it, anyway.
So. I. Stopped.
What made me to blog again?
There wasn't really an exact factor. I just felt something was missing. I was getting lost, anxious and angry and I knew speaking to humans wouldn't solve anything. So one day at work, I got fed up and started typing my thoughts and feelings on Word. When I was done, I didn't want to keep it with myself.
Where could I share this? I had thought.
And that's what brought me back here, Friend! My emotions.
Let's conclude, shall we?
So, I decided to dump my old e-Journal titled Discover Your Talents - majorly because someone tampered with my Google account - and create this new one - which is by far better.
I still don't know how to organize a Blog but that's fine. I won't learn by quitting.
The more I Blog, the more I will learn.
I hope that's understandable, Friend 😊
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you stick with me through this journey. I would love it if you did!
